OIS first and second grade students received a letter from Paige the Library Bunny: she invited their favourite toys to visit her at the OIS library! On a Friday morning, the library bus (or a cardboard box) came to pick the toys up – and an hour later it returned them safely back to their owners.
The funny thing was that the students didn’t have any idea what the toys had been up to at the library – until Paige sent them these photo stories…

Paige the Library Bunny was excited. She had invited other toys to visit the school library, her home. It was nine o’clock on Friday morning. She saw the library bus coming. ”Welcome! Welcome my new friends!”
”So many books!” the Dolly sighed and climbed to the bookshelf.
”We want to read a book about cats! White and furry and cute cats!” said the kitties and followed her.
A visitor from Minecraft was more interested in science books.
The Snake found dictionaries in different languages. ”I want to find out what ssssnake issss in Ssspanissshh and Russssian and Chinessssshhe.”
The Owl is very wise. It has read at least a hundred books in its life. Today it wanted to read about water animals. ”Howwwl interesting!”
”We don’t know how to find the books we want to read!” said the Lynx, the Pug and the Red Hooded Bunny.
”Let me show you”, said the Horsie. ”You can use the computer to find them!”
But oh my! What was going on on the bookshelves? ”We were hungry”, said the Gorilla, the Robot and the Robo-Kitty.
”Oh, no my friends! The library is not the right place for eating snacks. The books can get dirty and sticky”, said Paige.
And down on the floor, something even worse was going on!
”These books are just DELICIOUS!” groaned the Dino.
The One-Eared Bunny was just shocked about his behavior.
”Oops!”
”Hmm… Maybe we got a little TOO excited about the books…” said the Hockey Player.
”Come on, let’s clean up this mess!” said the Doggie.
”We promise to treat the books much better from now on!”
”What is this special shelf with all these colours?” asked Batman.
”It’s the Reading Diploma shelf”, the Monkey told him.
”Reading Diploma sounds like an adventure! Let’s do it!” said Batman.
The Husky and the Pink Bow Dog found a book they wanted to borrow.
”We have our library cards with us. It is pink like my bow.”
The Owl showed them how to use the computer to borrow the books. ”Just beep!”
”You can take the borrowed books home, but remember to bring them back”, Paige said.
”Where do we leave them?” asked Mr. Fox and the White Bunny.
”Here!”
The library bus was about to head back to the classes.
”Come and visit me soon again”, Paige said to her new friends. ”And bring your owners with you!”
”I love the library”, said the Teddy. ”I want to be a library bear one day.”
